These three archive references show different ways to shape curly hair: longer, loose curls; a compact short curl shape; and softer waves. Use them to choose an outline that resembles your natural pattern. Styling can refine curls, but a pomade will not turn one curl pattern into another.
Kit Harington: length and a swept-back outline
The longer reference leaves enough length for curls to sit around the head rather than standing straight out. Ask your barber how to balance the sides and ends. Detangle gently, arrange the curl groups while damp and let them dry with limited handling.
Justin Timberlake: shorter, compact curls
The archive look keeps the overall shape closer to the head while allowing individual curls to remain visible. Ask for the intended dry length, because stretching curls changes the apparent measurement. The highlighted tips are a separate colour decision, not a necessary part of the cut.
Orlando Bloom: loose waves
A softer wave works well with movement through the lengths and a less rigid part. Guide the hair with your fingers rather than repeatedly brushing after the waves have formed. Keep the finisher light if the hair becomes flat or stringy.
Choose product by what is missing
Conditioning and gentle detangling help with manageability; a styling product adds definition or control. Flow Pomade is an option for a small amount of shine and flexible hold, but it is not a dedicated curl treatment. Start with less than you think you need and judge the result after drying.
Make the reference useful
