This lookbook preserves Slikhaar’s editorial selection from the 2019–2020 football season. It compares ten short and medium-length references by shape and styling direction. The ordering is the original team’s preference, not a measured popularity ranking or a description of the players’ current hair.
10. David de Gea: slicked-back undercut
The longer top moves back above close sides. Establish that direction while drying and finish lightly. Flow Pomade adds flexible control and shine; use a stronger supporting product only if the shape actually needs it.
9. Marco Reus: side-swept pompadour
Front lift and a sideways sweep make this more than a flat slick back. Build the roots with a brush, then guide the ends across. Ask your barber how much contrast to keep at the sides.
8. Neymar: curls above shorter sides
The curl texture is the main feature. Arrange the curls while damp and limit handling as they dry. A heavy coating of clay is not automatically the best way to keep every curl pattern defined.
7. Lionel Messi: short side-swept fringe
The front moves up and across without a large, rigid crest. Use your fingers for a softer finish and keep the product amount modest. The direction should work with your own natural part.

The archived reference combines side direction with visible texture and lighter colour detail. The haircut can be recreated without the colour. A matte finish emphasizes separation, but too much can make the top heavy.
5. Paulo Dybala: a smooth side-directed top
This reference sits between a slick back and a side sweep. Decide how clearly you want the part to show and guide the roots accordingly. Keep the surface controlled without removing all natural movement.
4. Sergio Agüero: short, lightened texture
The compact top and colour create the contrast. Ask for the shape independently of a colour service. Use a little finisher to direct the short top rather than trying to compensate for an unsuitable cut with extreme hold.
3. Sergio Ramos: crew-cut shape
A compact top and shorter sides make this a relatively simple daily style. Precise sides still require trimming to preserve their outline. Ask how the crown will sit before choosing the shortest length.
2. Olivier Giroud: fuller front height
The pompadour-inspired reference has a more substantial front. Build it during drying, then choose matte definition or added shine. Mixing Flow with another styler changes the finish; it is not a universal guarantee of stronger hold.
1. Cristiano Ronaldo: side-swept slick back
The archived choice keeps the top controlled and directed across and backwards. Use a clear photograph to communicate the side contrast and part. A small amount of product is easier to adjust than an overloaded first application.
Turn the list into a barber brief
Choose the front shape, side contrast and finish separately. Bring a profile image as well as a front view, and explain the maintenance you want. The dated player references should guide the discussion, not override your texture or routine.
