Red hair can be worn in a short crop, a side part, a quiff or longer layers just like other hair colours. Choose the haircut by texture, density and growth direction. The colour can be part of your style without becoming a rule about personality or attractiveness.
Start with the shape
Compare how much length you want at the sides and front. A compact crop keeps the silhouette simple, while a longer fringe gives more room to sweep or lift. Bring a reference with similar texture so the conversation is about a realistic cut.

Use Andy Dalton as one reference
The original Slikhaar article linked to an Andy Dalton-inspired short haircut from 2016. Its defining features are close graduated sides and a slightly longer, textured front. The cut does not require red hair, and having red hair does not mean it is your only suitable choice.
Choose finish separately from colour
A matte product produces a different surface from a glossy pomade. Try a small amount and view the result in ordinary light. Neither finish is inherently better for red hair; choose the one that suits the shape and the amount of movement you want.
Work with natural texture
Let waves or curls influence how much length remains on top. A photograph of a smooth quiff does not tell you how the same cut will settle on curls. Ask your barber for an adapted version rather than relying on more heat or product to force a match.

If you are considering copper colour
A colour change is a separate service from a haircut. Discuss the intended tone, starting colour and maintenance with a colourist. The fact that someone else wears a shade successfully does not tell you the formula or process suitable for your hair.
Move beyond the stereotype
The older article used broad claims about redheads and cultural trends. The useful part is the range of possible looks. Choose a style because you like it and can maintain it, not because it is supposed to prove confidence or fit a stereotype.
