What makes fibre different?
Fibre products are often chosen for definition and reworkable texture. A clay, wax or fibre can overlap in finish, so the label is a better guide than a category alone. Think about whether you want a dry-looking surface, some shine or movement through the lengths.
Choose by haircut
Short textured hair often needs only a little product worked through the top. A longer swept style needs enough length and a drying direction that support the shape. Dense or curly hair may need the product spread through smaller sections rather than placed only on the surface.
Work it between your palms
Begin with a small scoop and spread it into a thin film across your hands. Apply through the area you want to shape, then use what remains on your fingertips to define the front. Unless the current directions say otherwise, start with dry hair for a more controlled assessment of the finish.
Troubleshoot the finish
White streaks usually call for better distribution or less product. A flat top may be overloaded or need a different drying technique. If the texture feels too sticky, reset the hair rather than stacking more products over it.
