Neymar’s archive offers several distinct hair shapes rather than one signature cut. This guide compares five references from the original Slikhaar article. Use the photographs to choose a feature that works with your texture and routine; they are not a current hairstyle update.
1. Angular fringe
The front travels diagonally across the forehead. Keep enough length to create that line and discuss whether the sides should be softly connected or strongly contrasted. Style the roots in the intended direction before defining the tips.
2. Brushed-up top
The front rises away from the face while the sides stay controlled. Dry with root lift, then apply a small amount of finisher through the top. If the front collapses, review the amount of product and the cut before increasing hold.
3. Simple short cut
A compact cut focuses on outline and small amounts of texture. Ask how the crown and fringe will sit when the hair is dry. Short does not mean no maintenance: a precise perimeter will show regrowth more quickly than a softer shape.
4. Undercut
The longer top contrasts with much shorter sides. Decide how high the disconnection should sit and whether you want a visible part. The top can be curly, wavy or smooth; the undercut describes the contrast rather than one required texture.
5. Mohawk-inspired shape
A raised central section and closer sides create a stronger silhouette. A softer faux hawk uses less contrast and may be easier to grow out. Choose the version before the sides are cut, because styling product cannot reverse that decision.
Separate colour from the haircut
A lighter colour or highlighted section can change the impression dramatically, but it is optional. Discuss colour with a professional and keep the maintenance separate from the styling routine. Pomade and wax do not create or correct a blonde tone.
Adapt the reference
Pick the direction and proportions first, then decide on matte texture or shine. A natural wave can remain visible in all but the most deliberately straightened versions. Bring your barber a specific photograph and explain which element matters most to you.
